As part of his final stop during the district-level institutional visits on Sunday, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Shri Aditya Ranjan visited the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner held an in-depth discussion with the management of IIT ISM regarding the establishment of a Skill Development Centre focused on Electric Vehicles (EVs). The initiative aims to equip youth with cutting-edge skills in the growing EV sector, fostering employment and innovation.
In addition, Shri Ranjan also initiated dialogue on setting up a National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) training centre within the IIT campus. The centre is expected to provide specialized digital and IT training aligned with national skill development goals.
Following the discussions, the Deputy Commissioner toured various departments of IIT ISM and appreciated the infrastructure and ongoing academic excellence of the institute.
