Dhanbad | January 21, 2026 A district-level workshop aimed at encouraging women-led entrepreneurship was organized on Wednesday at the Railway Auditorium, Dhanbad. A total of 45 women entrepreneurs from the district participated in the program.
The session began with an address by Mr. Rajendra Prasad, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Dhanbad, who motivated women entrepreneurs and shared detailed information about various government schemes such as PMFME, PMEGP, and PM Vishwakarma. He emphasized the importance of women entrepreneurship in strengthening the local economy and promoting self-reliance.
The chief guests included Ms. Akanksha Sinha, CEO, Atal Community Innovation Centre, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad; Chartered Accountant Ravi Agarwala; Mr. Amit Kumar, Lead District Manager; Mr. Prabin Kumar, Postal Inspector; Mr. Avinash Chandra, Director, Rural Self Employment Training Institute; Mr. Krishna Parmanick, District Enterprise Manager, JSLPS; Mr. Jiyaul Ansari, District Welfare Officer; Mr. Abhishek Mishra, District Agriculture Officer; Ms. Sadhna Kumari, District Child Protection Officer; Mr. Aditya Chaudhary, EODB Manager; Ms. Kumari Neelu, District Enterprise Coordinator; Block Enterprise Coordinators; and JIDCO consultants Ms. Isha Kumari and Ms. Aditi Kumari.
The workshop aimed to empower women entrepreneurs by providing information on government schemes, financial support, and training opportunities to help them establish and expand their businesses.
