A one-day Horticulture Fair-cum-Exhibition was organized on Sunday at the Block Nursery in Govindpur, inaugurated by Municipal Commissioner Mr. Ashish Gangwar. The event aimed at connecting farmers with modern horticulture practices and enhancing their income opportunities.
District Horticulture Officer Mr. Janardan Sharma briefed farmers about various government schemes and interacted directly with them to discuss crop diseases, their causes, remedies, productivity enhancement, and ways to secure better market prices.
Progressive farmers showcased a variety of fruits, flowers, and vegetables during the exhibition. The best performers were awarded first, second, and third prizes, while over 100 farmers were felicitated for their participation and contribution.
The event was attended by District Agriculture Officer Mr. Abhishek Mishra, District Soil Conservation Officer Mr. Madhukar Shukla, JSLPS DPM, Senior Scientist from Krishi Vigyan Kendra Dr. Naveen Kumar, District Horticulture Office official Mr. Shashi Shekhar Sinha, and hundreds of farmers from different blocks of the district.
