Dhanbad Traffic Police have taken strict action against a Scorpio SUV fitted with black tinted windows and a modified fancy number plate, following a video that went viral on social media.
After taking cognizance of the viral clip, the traffic police initiated an investigation and verified the vehicle details through the District Transport Office (DTO). Based on the findings, the vehicle was traced to Mahavir Nagar under Dhansar police station area, where it was seized and brought to the traffic police station.
According to Traffic DSP Arvind Singh, the seized vehicle is registered in the name of Mahesh Kumar. Further legal proceedings are being carried out under the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
The Traffic DSP stated that action against vehicles with black glass, modified number plates, and illegal modifications will continue without exception. He also appealed to all motorists to follow traffic rules, carry valid documents, and avoid unlawful alterations to ensure road safety and law and order.
