Dhanbad, Jharkhand – Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Aditya Ranjan and Senior Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar today attended a memorial gathering at Shibu Soren Ashram, Pokharia, Maniyadih (Tundi), organized by local MLA and Ashram’s guardian Mathura Prasad Mahato.
The officials paid floral tributes at the statue of late Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, honoring his remarkable contribution to tribal identity and social justice.
After offering homage, the DC and SSP toured the ashram premises, visited the revered room of Dishom Guru, and planted saplings in the campus as a mark of respect.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Aditya Ranjan said:
“Dishom Guru Shibu Soren was a great leader of India’s tribal consciousness. His struggle, sacrifice, and leadership will forever inspire generations. He lives in every grain of Jharkhand’s soil.”
Following the tribute, both officials partook in prasad at the Ashram.
The event was also attended by Divisional Forest Officer Vikas Paliwal, Sub-Divisional Officer Rajesh Kumar, Executive Magistrate Ravindra Nath Thakur, along with other administrative and police officers.
