Varanasi, UP – DCP Crime Saravanan Thangamani reported that an incident took place involving the Head of the Telugu Department at a university campus. Acting on confidential information about a suspect linked to the case, police swiftly reached the location. Upon attempting to apprehend the accused, the suspect opened fire on the police. In retaliation and self-defense, the police fired back, injuring the accused in the leg. The injured suspect was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. Authorities have confirmed that further legal action is in progress.
