Dhanbad: In a major development, former Jharia MLA Sanjeev Singh walked out of jail on Tuesday after seven years, following the Supreme Court’s decision to grant him conditional bail. His release sparked celebrations among supporters, who gathered in large numbers to welcome him with flower garlands and slogans.
An emotional scene unfolded at his residence, where his wife and former Jharia MLA, Ragini Singh, remarked, “My Ram has returned from exile.” She called it a historic and joyful moment for the family and the people of Jharia, expressing confidence that his return would mark a new chapter of development in the region.
Sanjeev Singh was arrested in 2017 in connection with the high-profile Neeraj Singh murder case. Since then, he had been in custody, with his legal battle continuing for years before the apex court’s decision finally paved the way for his release.
