In Dhanbad, Manoj Kumar, Secretary of the Department of Women, Child Development, and Social Security, conducted a surprise inspection of several key institutions on Friday, thoroughly reviewing their arrangements. The visit began at the One Stop Center and Childline, where he examined the available facilities in detail and instructed staff to further improve service quality.
He then visited the Pehla Kadam school for differently-abled children, where the students welcomed him by tying rakhi. The Secretary directed teachers and officials to ensure that all departmental schemes reach differently-abled children on time and in full measure.
During his inspection at the Sabalpur Old Age Home, he found that many elderly residents still did not have Aadhaar cards. He immediately ordered a special camp to be set up for Aadhaar registration, enabling them to receive pensions and other government benefits directly. He later visited the Girls’ Home and Halfway Home, giving further instructions to improve facilities.
The inspection was accompanied by Assistant Director of Social Security Niyaz Ahmad, District Child Protection Officer Sadhana Kumari, Bishambhar Kumar Poddar, Child Development Project Officer Sanchit Bhagat, Vimla Kumari, Anand Kumar, and other officials.
