Ranchi, July 28, 2025 To curb Naxalism and organized crime in the border regions of Jharkhand, a high-level meeting of the Eastern Regional Police Coordination Committee (ERPCC) was held. Senior police officials from various eastern states participated in the strategic session.
The meeting focused on key issues including the current Naxal landscape, cybercrime, and organized criminal networks. A consensus was reached on strengthening inter-state coordination and launching joint operations in border areas.
Officials emphasized the importance of sharing intelligence, enhancing the use of advanced technology, and improving mutual cooperation to effectively counter the Naxal threat. Given the rising danger of cybercrime, the need to set up specialized, tech-savvy task forces was also highlighted.
The ERPCC meeting is seen as a significant step towards reinforcing law and order in Naxal-affected regions and addressing emerging security challenges through a unified regional approach.
