In view of the upcoming visit of Hon’ble President of India to Dhanbad, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Mr. Aditya Ranjan has declared the area surrounding the Barwaddah Airstrip as a "No-Fly Zone" from 10:00 AM on July 31 to 6:00 PM on August 1, 2025.
The President is scheduled to arrive in Dhanbad on August 1 for a visit to IIT (ISM), and her landing has been designated at Barwaddah Airstrip. Considering security arrangements, all aerial activities such as drones, paragliding, hot air balloons, and similar flying objects will be strictly prohibited in the vicinity of the airstrip during this period.
This order has been issued under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code to ensure a robust and secure environment for the high-profile visit. The district administration has urged citizens to cooperate with the guidelines and avoid any activity that may compromise safety.
