Dhanbad, July 23, 2025 – Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate of Dhanbad, Shri Aditya Ranjan, today conducted an extensive inspection of the route and preparations ahead of Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu’s scheduled visit to IIT (ISM) Dhanbad on August 1, 2025.
Beginning from Dhanbad Airport, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the entire route to the event venue, covering locations such as Dhaiya, Bartand, City Centre Chowk, Luby Circular Road, Dhanbad Sadar CHC, Randhir Verma Chowk, Zila Parishad Road, and Police Lines, eventually reaching IIT (ISM). Upon arrival at the institute, he inspected the main event venue, the Presidential Suite, accommodation areas for the Hon’ble Governor, Hon’ble Chief Minister, and other dignitaries. He also reviewed arrangements at the green room, safe house, VIP parking areas, and other facilities in line with the President’s minute-to-minute itinerary. The return route back to the airport was also examined with equal attention.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that all involved agencies have been directed to work on a war footing, ensuring that every aspect of the visit is planned and executed with precision. He further added that IIT (ISM) is also proactively managing its responsibilities and cooperating closely with the district administration.
Senior Superintendent of Police Shri Prabhat Kumar informed that a detailed security audit has been carried out across the route. Sensitive points such as intersections, high-rise buildings, road-facing houses, and critical junctions have been identified, and security personnel along with magistrates will be deployed accordingly. All measures under the President’s security protocol are being implemented meticulously.
During the inspection, the DC and SSP also reviewed ongoing preparations at Dhanbad Airport and issued necessary instructions to the concerned officials. A number of senior officers were present during the inspection including IIT (ISM) Registrar Shri Prabodh Pandey, Municipal Commissioner Shri Ravi Raj Sharma, ADM (Law & Order) Smt. Hema Prasad, SDO Shri Rajesh Kumar, DRDA Director Shri Rajeev Ranjan, DSP HQ-1 Shri Shankar Kamati, DSP Law & Order Shri Naushad Alam, Inspector Ram Narayan Thakur of Dhanbad Police Station, DTO Shri Diwakar C. Dwivedi, District PRO Shri Sunil Kumar Singh, Assistant Municipal Commissioner Shri Prakash Kumar, City Manager Shri Sumit Tigga, CO Dhanbad Shri Shashikant Sinkar, Executive Engineer Shri Chandan Kumar, Executive Magistrate Shri Narayan Ram, Shri B.N. Sahdev, and NDC Shri Deepak Kumar Dubey, among others.
