Ranchi, July 23, 2025 – In a significant development for the state’s judiciary, Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan was sworn in today as the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court at a formal ceremony held at Raj Bhavan.
Hon’ble Governor Shri Santosh Gangwar administered the oath of office to the newly appointed Chief Justice. Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren was also present on the occasion and extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Justice Chauhan.
Prior to this appointment, Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan served as a senior judge at the Himachal Pradesh High Court and brings with him a wealth of judicial experience and integrity.
The oath ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, senior government officials, and members of the judiciary. The state looks forward to a stronger and more transparent judicial system under his leadership.
